Carthamus Tinctorius is a plant with bright orange flowers, used for its oil, but also as a saffron substitute, using its flowers, or for teas.
The oil is rich in nutrients, fatty acids, vitamins B, K, carotenoids.
The taste has notes of toasted hazelnuts and sesame.
Ideal for all dishes and preparations, also great as a fatty ingredient in cakes and desserts.
It is great if used as a massage oil or as a component in home made masks, it also has documented anti hair loss properties, so it is ideal used as a hair mask and massaged into the scalp before showering.
