Agriturismo Montemenardo is an organic resort structured into an organic farm and a farmhouse restored to host guests.
Our aim is to offer a country life experience to those guests willing to discover our region while having a relaxing holiday in close contact with nature, far away from the city.
The organic farm has been run by our family for generations, our produces are both crops that are typical of this area like: organic extra virgin olive oil, farro, wheat and barley, pulses; and more experimental crops introduced in our farm in order to increase diversity among our produces like: flax seeds and flax oil, safflower oil, coriander seeds and buckwheat.
We also supply our resort with clean energy from the sun, provided by photovoltaics installed on our roofs.
Thanks to our passion for this territory we created Agriturismo Montemenardo, which has not only accommodation with a summer pool, but also a multifunctional Bistrot space.
The Bistrot offers: breakfast, tasting sessions, cooking classes. These activities are all on request, they might not be available on all seasons, a minimum number of participants may be requested.
Our aim is to be more ecofriendly as possible, our crops are low impact on the environment requiring no extra watering and no pesticides.
Hospitality accommodation is powered by clean energy from photovoltaic, we try to reduce water and detergents wasting by proposing a weekly and bi-weekly change of sheets and towels, instead of changing them daily.
Our Ecosuites have been restored more recently and with sustainability in mind, they are in a class A building with high level insulation and they are powered by energy from solar panels.
Our Spa and Wellness treatments also are ecofriendly, for our treatments we use massage oils, masks, and other cosmetics “cooked” on the spot with our organic produces.
Spa treatments are only available on request, they might not be available on all seasons.
Storia
Bio Agriturismo Montemenardo è una azienda a conduzione familiare. Da generazioni la nostra famiglia vive e lavora nell’azienda agraria che ora ospita anche l’attività ricettiva.
Dal 1993 abbiamo iniziato l’attività di Ospitalità con l’Agriturismo,da allora siamo felici di ospitare tutti coloro che desiderino conoscere la nostra terra e I nostri prodotti bio, e che desiderino passare una vacanza in totale relax circondati dalla natura.
Il Casale della Tenuta, che ospita 10 alloggi, costruito in pietra più di due secoli fa, è stato ristrutturato cercando di mantenere lo stile rustico locale e la struttura originaria, cercando al tempo stesso di fondere lo stile Umbro con un gusto più contemporaneo.
Durante la ristrutturazione sono stati conservati I materiali originari, tra cui pietre, travi in legno e pianelle in cotto, che sono stati ripuliti e riutilizzati nella nuova costruzione.
Gli annessi sono stati costruiti con uno stile più contemporaneo, tra questi le Eco Suite, alloggi di categoria superiore, con maxi doccia idromassaggio, patio afffacciato sugli ulivi, e una particolare attenzione alla sostenibilità.
La nostra azienda è green e eco friendly: l’energia utilizzata proviene da un impianto fotovoltaico installato sui tetti della tenuta, l’azienda agraria è certificata biologica, e nella gestione cerchiamo di limitare gli sprechi al minimo.
Grazie alla passione per il territorio e le tradizioni Umbre continuiamo ancora oggi a coltivare I prodotti tipici locali, tra cui l’Olio Extra Vergine di Oliva, Farro e Legumi, a cui poi abbiamo aggiunto colture innovative e sperimentali come il Lino, il Cartamo e il Coriandolo. L’azienda è certificata Biologica.
